Senior Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• •You are the central point of contact for our clients: you own the relationship, manage stakeholders, and coordinate our team to deliver projects at a high level of quality.

• •You steer project execution: scope, timeline, risk, and quality.

• •You take ownership of the entire software delivery lifecycle: architecture, development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and operations.

• •You design (distributed) architectures using open-source and cloud-native technologies, choosing the paradigm that fits the problem.

• •You lead development teams and mentor your colleagues.

• •You're familiar with AI coding tools and agents and use them responsibly, applying prompt engineering, clear guardrails, and a critical eye on quality.

• •You take responsibility for what you deliver, whether AI-assisted or not, taking into account risk, quality, maintainability, and confidentiality.

• •You keep security, regulatory, and quality standards in view across the entire application lifecycle.

• •You work autonomously and make decisions where they're needed.

• •You share your knowledge within the team, across the company, and at conferences.

Your Profile

• •You bring more than 5 years of professional experience in software development and have already taken responsibility for software architecture and delivery.

• •You have development experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.

• •You know different architecture and programming paradigms and understand when each one fits.

• •You have experience with the DevOps paradigm and are familiar with CI/CD and release processes.

• •You're familiar with the cloud operating model, hyperscalers such as Google Cloud, and infrastructure as code.

• •You understand what it takes to run applications reliably, and you already factor in SRE practices, observability, SLOs, and error budgets during development.

• •You're knowledgeable about project management frameworks and agile methodologies.

• •You can create binding estimates for work packages.

• •Quality and maintainability matter to you. Clean code and established design patterns are second nature to you.

• •You understand regulatory requirements and their impact on infrastructure, architecture, and delivery.

• •You're familiar with security topics around AI/LLMs (e.g., OWASP AI) as well as the security implications of AI-generated code, and you keep learning continuously.

• •You communicate clearly and enjoy working directly with clients and stakeholders.

• •You're a team player and can resolve conflicts.

• •You stay up to date on the latest developments in IT and actively work on your own professional growth.

• •You have very good German and English language skills.

In line with the market, we offer a gross monthly salary of at least € 5.300,- which can go higher depending on specific qualifications.
