Cloud Application Engineer

Your Responsibilities
- •You work on software products in an agile environment.
- •You manage the product backlog and work with stakeholders to define requirements.
- •You use AI coding tools and agents as part of your daily development work, applying prompt engineering and validating their output before relying on it.
- •You use open source and cloud-native technologies to develop distributed software architectures.
- •You monitor security and quality standards over the entire lifecycle of the applications.
- •You evaluate risk, ensure quality, maintain confidentiality and take accountability for AI-assisted output.
- •You develop software and the release process according to DevSecOps principles.
- •You lead local and international development teams.
- •You share your knowledge within your team and with the company and at conferences.
Your Profile
- •You have several years of professional experience in software development (e.g. with Java, Kotlin, Go, Typescript, C#, Python etc.).
- •You have good command of Docker and experience with CI/C pipelines and release processes (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD etc.).
- •You have a basic understanding of how ML and LLMs work, including what they can do and where their limits are, and you know how to recognise and validate (or reject) AI output.
- •You have an extensive knowledge of databases and messaging systems.
- •You have a feeling for software quality and are familiar with design patterns and methods for structuring programme code. In your work, clean code is a matter of course.
- •You are familiar with test strategies and frameworks for quality assurance, such as unit testing, contract testing (Pact), static code analysis (SonarQube) and security scanning (Snyk).
- •You are aware of AI/LLM security topics (e.g. OWASP AI) and the security implications of AI-generated code.
- •You are committed to continuous AI upskilling and to applying what you learn responsibly.
- •You enjoy sharing your knowledge and are a role model and mentor for other colleagues.
- •You have a good command of German and English.
In line with the market, we offer you a gross monthly salary of at least € 4.500,- which can go higher depending on specific qualifications.
